Coliving Insider is an independent publication about coliving, coworking and working from wherever you happen to be. It exists because most writing on the subject is either an operator's brochure or an affiliate list, and neither tells you what a place is actually like to live in.
Who publishes it
Coliving Insider is published by Northbank Media, an independent publisher of specialist titles. It is a standalone publication. It is not a booking platform, not an agency and not a coliving operator, and it has no commercial relationship with any coliving business.
What we cover
- Guides. The durable questions: what coliving is, what it costs against renting, how to choose a space, and how European remote work permits are shaped.
- Cities. Six places in depth, covering neighbourhood character, 2026 cost ranges, coworking culture and seasonality.
- Journal. Essays on what this way of working is actually like, including the parts that are not enjoyable.
The rules we work to
- We name no operators, no venues and no addresses. Not one, anywhere on the site. Naming spaces turns a publication into a directory, and directories get captured by whoever pays. What we give you instead is the framework to judge any space yourself.
- Costs are 2026 ranges, not quotes. Observed and dated, stated as ranges because that is what they are, and revised when they move.
- We do not invent statistics. Where we do not have a defensible number, we describe the pattern in words instead.
- Immigration and tax are orientation only. Every page touching those subjects tells you to verify with the official government portal, because rules change and are applied case by case.
- Corrections are made openly. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say that we did.
How we make money
At present, we do not. Coliving Insider takes no booking commissions, runs no affiliate links to accommodation, and sells no listings or placements. It is funded by its publisher while it builds an audience.
If that changes, it will be stated here before it appears anywhere else on the site, and the two things that will not change are these: nobody will be able to buy a mention, and no commercial arrangement will ever cause us to name a specific coliving space favourably. A newsletter sponsorship or a clearly labelled advertisement would be disclosed as such. An editorial recommendation you cannot tell apart from a paid one is the thing this publication exists to avoid.
Who writes it
Pieces are produced by the Coliving Insider editorial desk, drawing on published official sources, public statistics and direct experience of the cities covered. We use AI tools in research and drafting, and every published piece is reviewed by a person who is accountable for it.
